Cartoon is a drawing or sketch that generally depicts the features of its subject in a humorous and exaggerated manner. It is a painting or drawing intended for caricature, humor, or satire. Generally, simple line and base colors are used to draw a cartoon. A cartoon often includes a caption, along with it.  Usually newspapers and magazines include cartoon columns. The media is inclined to narrate the political issues and current events in a comic manner using cartoons. In the modern world, it can also be an animated program that tells about a subject matter in a humorous way.
The term 'Cartoon' is also used to refer to the drawing of full size that is made on a sturdy paper. This is used as an initial design or model for painting or other artwork.
