Carlton Ware Definition

Carlton ware, in the context of antiques, is used to refer to dishwares, vases, and other stonewares that were produced at Carlton Stoke-on-Trent, an England based company. These pieces were produced starting late 19th  century. The Chintz pattern dishes that were characterized by colorful flower, fruit, and leaf designs were Carlton wares that were most popular between1920and late 1950s.
