Asbestos is a natural silicate mineral. It has thin fibrous crystals. Some of the characteristics of asbestos are that they are heat resistant, sound absorption, tensile strength, insulating properties and affordable price. These characteristic makes them perfect to be used in the manufacture of fire-proof dust mask gloves, aprons, and mats. It is also used in commercial construction.
