Arc En Ciel Definition

In reference to antiques, Arc-en-ciel refers to a pottery factory founded in Zanesville, Ohio, in 1903. Arc-en-ciel in French means rainbow. Though the company made art pottery under the name Arc-en-ciel for a short time, it changed its name to the Brighton Pottery in 1905. During their time Arc-en-ciel made kitchenware with a Rockingham glaze and art pottery.
