Acetic Acid Definition

Acetic acid is a colorless liquid with a strong pungent smell. It is systematically named as ethanoic acid with the chemical formula CH3COOH. Vinegar contains roughly 3-9% of acetic acid by volume. In art studios, the acid used in dye-bath for textiles likes silk is often acetic acid in the form of vinegar. It also often used as a liquid for cleaning in certain art techniques.
