The Greatest Race: New York's Marathon
The juried exhibition will present both photographs documenting runners and the neighborhoods and fans who line city streets and have turned Marathon Sunday into a unique five-borough spectacle and cultural event.
The Great Race: New York’s Marathon will largely focus on the recent past, although examples of great photographs dating back decades will also be considered. The exhibition project is being directed by the City Museum’s curator of photographs Sean Corcoran.
The Museum is closed Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, and New Year’s Day.
