States of Undress: Bathers and Nudes in Nineteenth-Century French Art

This exhibition will demonstrate the ways French artists relied on this tradition while modernizing the artistic nude during the nineteenth century.  The exhibition will feature nineteenth-century prints, drawings and photographs that reveal the attentive study that resulted in radical changes to the depiction of the nude in French art.
