Paul Moro: A Painter's Journey

June 6 - July 29, 2016 - ​A Painter's Journey is a retrospective exhibition of the vigorous, energetic paintings of Moro, a largely unknown twentieth century artist. This retrospective covers the entirety of his 45 year painting career, with most exhibited works owned by his descendants, an exception being a painting from the collection of the Hirshhorn Art Museum and Sculpture Garden.

Many of the paintings in this exhibition have never been shown before. Exhibited together, they reveal the evolution of a painter with classical training and Italian influences, and they demonstrate his steady development into a confident artist with a keen eye and masterful technique.
