Is there any warranty for items I purchase at auction?

This depends on the terms of the auction.  Most Auction Companies sell items "as-is" which means you are purchasing the property in their current condition and it is your oblogation to inspect the item before you bid.  Some terms provide that the description of items is not a warranty.  If there is a gross misstatement or description of an item you may be able to get the Auction Company to give you a refund.  Of course, if there is fraud, where the description is intentially false or misleading, you will have recourse against the Company.
