Conservation & Museum Services provides services such as the conservation and restoration of paintings, frames, decorative objects and painted surfaces, examinations and reports, and treatments of fine arts damaged in fire, floods, or other disasters.

Nearly three decades ago, Zahner began offering engineering and fabrication services to fine artists, collectors, and patrons of the arts. Around the same time, Zahner began consulting on aging facades, and the restoration of damaged and corroded metal.

Our staff of Senior Conservators, Conservators and Associate Conservators has renowned expertise in the treatment of works of art and historic artifacts.

We are a full service gallery offering custom framing, fine art restoration and conservation, appraisals, professional photography, corporate consulting, canvas transfers and much more.

Our two partners, Barbara Appelbaum and Paul Himmelstein – the firm’s sole members – provide a wide range of art conservation services including treatment of individual paintings and objects, and consultation on various aspects of collections care.

We have in-house restorers and long-standing relationship with top conservators, and we work with them on a regular basis.

Eastlake Framing provides services such as frame restoration and oil painting restoration.

Canning Studios is a conservation studio based in Connecticut that has specialized in art restoration, decorative painting, plastering, consulting, and more since the early 1970s.
