Imagining the Trojan War

The exhibition traces Homer’s epic poem across history through ancient and modern works of art. Greek vases and armor, along with prints by Winslow Homer, a WWI poster, and war photography, take us from the wrath of the hero Achilles to universal images of war and peace.  For the ancient Greeks, the Iliad was both entertainment and a record of their past.

The museum is closed on Thanksgiving, Christmas, and New Year’s Day.
