Monet, Homer, and the Agrarian Ideal

October 7, 2016 - January 8, 2017 - A beautiful makeover is in store for our sky-lit Hixon Gallery as it becomes home to an exhibition focused on the idyllic notion of life in the country.

Monet, Homer, and the Agrarian Ideal brings Claude Monet's great Impressionist masterpiece Haystacks here as a loan from the Musee d'Orsay in Paris.

It will join Chrysler Collection treasures by Winslow Homer, Jean-Francois Millet, Alfred Boucher, Paul Gauguin, and others illustrating the simple beauties of going back to the land.
