Looking Through Windows, Real and Imagined: Nancy Ellen Craig

May 6 - July 3, 2016 - Nancy Ellen Craig was a Truro painter with deep historical roots in Cape Cod. Known both locally and internationally for her monumental canvases, Craig’s subjects range from myths to religion to political statements. Beginning with her early work, one can see her professional and personal relationships with such artists as Frederic Taubes, Hans Hofmann, Jerry Farnsworth, Edwin Dickinson, and Paul Cadmus. Working for many years in the former L’Engle studio in Truro,  Craig’s work both reflects and transcends self and place.
