Landscape through Multiple Lenses Works on Paper 1980 – 2015

Elizabeth Peak has long been a part of the Washington scene with many shows at the Jane Haslem Gallery and before that at the legendary Franz Bader Gallery.  Her prints are in the permanent collections of the Smithsonian, Library of Congress, American University, Worchester Art Museum, Yale University, and many other institutions.
This survey of Peak’s work consists of images derived from landscape, images that navigate through a very personal geographic history and its changing perspective. The sense of color and improvisation gives her prints a passionate, persuasive, and honest intensity that can only be achieved by a skilled knowledge of the medium.
