Description

This authentic collection spans the centuries and is presented in a manner that is enjoyable and educational to people of all ages. Swords, antique guns, muskets, Spanish, English, Colonial and shipwreck artifacts are among the thousands of fascinating items included in this collection. The museum also houses one of the most extensive Civil War collections offered for public viewing. President John Tyler's piano is on display surrounded by historic photos, tintypes, lithographs and documents. A nice assortment of Indian artifacts rounds out this unique collection. The museum's gift shop contains over 800 square feet of antiques and collectibles, all for sale, such as hundreds of antique newspapers, authentic sheepskin parchment documents and old magazines. Also offered are Civil War items, dishes, bottles, Confederate money, pre-Columbian art, original swords and muskets. A large selection of knives, flags, maps, cannons, discount books, reproduction swords and muskets await your visit.
